A new photo from Switched at Birth Season 4 has been revealed, giving some curious insight on what kind of dirty scene is about to take place.

On Monday, series creator Lizzy Weiss posted the image of Bay, Daphne and Toby who stand on muddy grounds where a good haul of wet dirt is splattered all over their bodies. The actors look like they're having fun with the scene though as they give expressive poses for the camera. But why are they covered with mud in the first place?

Weiss captioned this photo with the same question:

".@ABCFam What's happening here? #SwitchedatBirth season 4 is on its way," she wrote.

There's a possibility that some big argument could've happened between the girls, which led them to wrestle in the mud, and maybe Toby jumped in to stop them. Considering that Bay and Daphne have had plenty of on and off tension, perhaps that might continue.

But then again, that's not how things left off for them in the summer finale. After Daphne committed vandalism, Bay took the fall for her. So as of now, it would seem like their relationship with each other is deep and heavy.

Switched at Birth Season 4 premieres in January 2015 on ABC Family while the Christmas special airs on Monday, December 8 at 9 p.m. ET.
