Bay and Daphne are about to make the switch of a lifetime on the Christmas special of Switched at Birth.

'Switched At Birth' Season 4 Storylines Will Be 'Juicy & Fantastic'

On Monday, Broadway World posted some details that are about to take place as the holiday season approaches in the December episode. Bay will see Kathryn's enthusiastic holiday spirit while Daphne gets frustrated with Regina's lack of the spirit. When the family has dinner together with "magical" garlic knots, the girls discover what their lives would have been life if they had been brought to the biological parents during birth.

Bay will turn out to be an Olympic hopeful as Daphne becomes a successful artist where she even has an upcoming exhibit.

'Switched At Birth' Summer Finale 'Huge Cliffhanger' Chatter

The questions that come with this include how much the girls will enjoy their lives if the switch didn't happen; will they be happier or will they end up realizing that things were better the other way around?

Lea Thompson, who plays Kathryn on the series, recently told Smashing Interviews Magazine that the upcoming season is about to have some enticing situations, which she's really looking forward to. She also mentioned the approximate time when the fourth season should begin.

"We're about to start Switched at Birth season four. I guess it will go in the spring or maybe January or February," Thompson said. "I'm going to get to direct my third episode around Christmas, which I'm really excited about. I don't really know the storylines yet, but I'm sure they will be juicy and fantastic because we left with a really great cliffhanger."

The Switched at Birth Christmas special will air on Monday, December 8 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
