The Switched at Birth Christmas special is about to have some enticing moments for the fans that will spark up some holiday spirit while also finding out that life can be filled with tragedy.

On Friday, Entertainment Weekly gave some details on the episode when Lea Thompson (Kathryn) teased what's about to take place.

"Daphne and Bay want each other's lives and their lives get switched," the actress said. "There's magic involved."

As much as things might be enlightened, it turns out the girls will discover that it was probably better that the switch did happen. The Kennish family won't be on great terms with each other while Regina is back to her drinking days.

This leaves some insight on how Bay and Daphne might be able to fully accept what their lives have become ever since they were delivered to the wrong parents growing up. In fact, it really may have been for the best since a promo shows a rather awkward storyline.

Toby, who's dressed in hipster status, tells Bay that he feels like they were meant to be together. That's bound to make Bay feel uncomfortable since Toby's her brother- not by blood, but the idea of him being in love with her is bound to call for some weirdness.

The Switched at Birth Christmas special airs on Monday, December 8 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC Family. Season 4 airs in January.
