She may be harboring some big secrets of her own, but Melanie (Molly Burnett) is in for some bigger shocks from the loved ones she has surprised with her return on Days of Our Lives.

Melanie Tries Hiding A Huge Secret

She's finally back, and for good, though she is clearly running away from something-and won't admit to what. After visiting with Maggie, Melanie learned that not only was Nick dead and Gabi in prison, but she also was informed that Chad (Billy Flynn) was back in town. The news may have been surprising, but nothing will be more shocking to Melanie than when she arrives at her father, Daniel's (Shawn Christian) home-and finds Nicole (Arianne Zucker) there in nothing but a towel.

Now, Melanie will confront Nicole about the nature of her relationship with her father, and she won't be happy if she learns that the two have been experiencing some attraction towards one another.

Melanie Makes A Surprise Return To Salem

However, Nicole may wind up explaining to the recently-returned redhead that what she walked in on was innocent, and that Nicole and Daniel have only rekindled a friendship following their respective heartbreaks. She was at the house with him talking when wine spilled on her clothes-Daniel left, giving her permission to use his shower and wear some old sweats of his while she waited for her clothes to finish up in the wash. If Nicole omits the part where the conversation she and Daniel had was about how attracted they were to one another, she may be able to satisfy Melanie and keep the tension pushed aside for the time being.

Meanwhile, Daniel is across town at Eric's (Greg Vaughan) new place-and will confess to him about the feelings he and Nicole have been having for one another. Eric may also be in for a shock when he hears the news-and it could destroy the friendship between the two men as a result.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
