It has been a long wait from the first movie to the sequels, but James Cameron assures that the wait will be worth it whenever the next Avatar films come out and he has a bold claim to how we will react.

'Avatar 2' Looking To Use New Technology That Will Surpass 'The Hobbit' Films

In an interview on Wednesday with Empire, Cameron talked about the reception that he is anticipating for the movies and gives a bold claim that may be tough to beat.

"I can tell you one thing about them," Cameron said. "They're gonna be b----in'. You will s--- yourself with your mouth wide open."

He also talked about beating out The Hobbit when it came to visuals and what his team was working on to ensure that.

"My thinking at the time was that 60 [FPS] might be a better segue to the video market," he said. "I'll be plugging into a system that's a little more mature, so it makes sense for me to do 48 frames at this point."

Cameron also talked about what the writing team was doing and what fans could expect soon when it came to progress and how they worked out having someone write parts of each movie instead of everyone working on one.

"I think we met for seven months and we whiteboarded out every scene in every film together," Cameron explains, "and I didn't assign each writer which film they were going to work on until the last day. I knew if I assigned them their scripts ahead of time, they'd tune out every time we were talking about the other movie."

Avatar 2 is expected out in 2016.
