Michael Phelps has announced what his plans will be when he returns from the London Games. The gold medalist will jump to the small screen.

The Olympic swimmer will team up with Tiger Woods' ex-coach Hank Haney for his golf reality show, "Haney Project," according to Reuters.

"As I enter this next chapter of my life, I think I will be able to shift my competitiveness to anything I put my mind to and golf is one of the things I want to focus on," the 27-year-old said in a statement.

"I'm excited about this project with Golf Channel and I'm looking forward to working with Hank and to see what we can do together on the golf course."

The Golf Channel will have cameras follow Phelps as he is being instructed one-on-one on expert golf by Haney. Episodes will also follow  as he competes on his own.

"I want to play all the world's great golf courses, but I'd like to play them well," said Phelps.

Haney is known for helping golf great Tiger Woods become the world's number one golf player at the height of his career. Under Haney's direction Woods won 31 PGA Tour events and six major championships.

"Haney Project" has previously featured former NBA player Charles Barkley, actor Ray Romano and singer Adam Levine being trained by the golf expert.

Phelps will work with Haney at his training center in Texas.
"Haney Project" featuring Michael Phelps will air in February 2013.

Michael Phelps' net worth before the London Olympics was said to be about $40 million, according to Forbes.

However, with new endorsements and deals once he returns to Baltimore, those figures will probably rise quickly. Especially following his amazing success at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Phelps has become the most decorated Olympian in history, earning his 22nd medal in his final race on Saturday before he retires. Of those 22 Olympic medals, 18 of them are gold.
