The landmark 20th season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars is slated to have a healthy mix of old themes and pros returning while continuing to innovate with new dances.

Dancing With the Stars executive producer Rob Wade recently teased his plan to TheWrap for the 20th season of the dance competition in March. By the sound of it, he and his fellow producers will really be acknowledging the show's legacy as it turns 10 years old.

"My vision is that it's going to be a celebration, but we're still going to be innovating," Wade explained. "It's still going to be fresher than ever. I want to build on what we've done this season. I want to build on the performances. I want more fun, more humor. I really want the cast to pop. I really want the show to embraced the madness. I think that's what we do very well."

While Wade admitted that he still takes the competition aspect of the show very seriously, the show will continue to embrace how fun it is to be in the ballroom week after week.

Wade would not explicitly confirm that any themed nights would be in the show next year, but he did express his interest in having Disney Night and Latin Night return, in addition to a possible Classical Night.

Most exciting for longtime fans is the possible return of many pro dancers who have left the show over the years for various reasons, such as Anna Trebunskaya, Chelsie Hightower and Lacey Schwimmer.
"It also gives us a chance to bring back our pros, whether it's all-time pros or ones that appeared in challenges, some of the faces, perhaps, that you haven't seen for a while," Wade teased.

Either way, Wade promised that the new season will be "supersized," emphasizing everything that's great about Dancing With the Stars.

Dancing With the Stars returns for its 20th season in March on ABC, though the network has not yet revealed a specific premiere date.
