The singer released his version back in 2007 when he also held a role in the film This Christmas and it was part of the film's soundtrack.

AccuRadio Blog reported Wednesday that Brown's version of the well-known Christmas song is in the no. 5 slot on the list of least liked holiday songs here in the States.

This Christmas was originally recorded by R&B singer Donny Hathaway in 1970 and has since been covered by many acts, including Usher in 1993, Christina Aguilera in 2000, Destiny's Child in 2001, Ashanti in 2003, CeeLo Green in 2012. The list goes on and on, but Brown's cover is on the least liked list unlike the rest of them.

Brown's version is incredibly soulful so it's truly a wonder how it's on the least liked list. His version of This Christmas is in the company of Christmas Don't Be Late by The Chipmunks, (Let's Give) a Christmas Present to Santa Claus by Rosemary Clooney, My! My! Time Flies! by Enya and New Year's Eve by Snoop Dogg.

The Chipmunks' song "irritates listeners rather than excites them," as noted on AccuRadio Blog while Enya's song was simply deemed as not being "too popular." Brown's rendition of This Christmas along with Snoop Dogg's song and Clooney's song were deemed "songs to avoid, especially if you're angling to make a trip to the mistletoe."

Harsh! Team Breezy, what do you think about this information? Do you like Brown's version of This Christmas?
