As if being released by the Miami Dolphins before even setting foot on the football gridiron wasn't enough, Chad Johnson is now facing further consequences for domestic dispute actions against his wife Evelyn Lozada.

Only this time it's courtesy of VH1, who reportedly has scrapped their original plans to release the couple's new reality show "Ev and Ocho."

A VH1 source had the following to say on Aug. 13 regarding their controversial decision  made in response to the Johnson and Lozada battery aftermath, according to TMZ:

"Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series 'Ev and Ocho' from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it."

Slated to be a "Basketball Wives" spinoff, the program was supposed to document the evolution of the pair's relationship from dating to the time of their engagement.

The primary focus of the reality series was "the journey of this charismatic and passionate couple's every step, as they prepare to walk down the aisle and into each other's hearts forever," also according to the gossip website.

After voluntarily removing the last name Ochocinco and replacing it with Johnson, the once-promising football player has now seen his public image plummet rapidly. This is due to accounts that the 34 year-old had head-butted Lozada after she'd confronted him upon discovering a condom receipt.
