With the social media campaign, #PinkWigforMiyah, thousands of fans retweeted and shared her wish to meet "The Pink Print" rapstress in person and Minaj took notice. Weeks later, Miyah was all smiles and in the arms of her favorite artist. At that moment, her mom Kadisha Telemaque said , "Her smile, it lit the room up... To her, it was all like a dream."

Still, on the day of a major game for Wall and the day of Minaj's 32nd birthday, Miyah lost her battle with cancer. Reportedly, he found out via text message on Monday morning and did his best to go about his day without breaking down. But, after pulling out a tough win in double overtime against the Boston Celtics, he had a post-game interview with Comcast Sports Network, and he could no longer hold it in.

Later that night, he posted a tribute to her on his Instagram page.

If you were blessed to meet and get to know Miyah you know how special of a little girl she was. I'm saddened by the news but I know that she's in a better place. Keep her family in your prayers. I'll definitely miss my buddy. Rest In Peace Miyah.
