With the announcement of Spectre, and production now underway, it will fuel the speculation as to what will be happening in the next James Bond movie. But director Sam Mendes also hopes to put speculation to bed for awhile as he teases a little bit about what the film's plot will entail.

In an interview last week with Hey U Guys, Mendes talked about Spectre and what it meant for the franchise and how it would fit back into the modern Bond movies after disappearing awhile back.

"I was able to say today that the title for the 24th Bond movie was Spectre. For those people that know about Bond, which is a lot of people, Spectre is the name of a criminal organization that features in (Ian) Fleming's novels from a very early stage," he said.

"Beyond that I can't really say much more, but I love the fact that it will lead to endless speculation and it will feel as if some big shadows from Bond's deep past begin to resurface."

The director also talked about what made him return to the series after making Skyfall and the reason that ultimately led him back into the franchise.

"It's a real thrill for me and what I learned when directing a Bond movie, or any movie, to encourage your twelve-year-old self to come back to life and live along side you. I would like to say my twelve-year-old self would be really excited about that car and my adult self is excited as well," Mendes said.

"The story really (brought me back). I felt like I had introduced new characters and I hadn't finished telling their story. I felt a connection with them and when I'd taken the time, and wasn't as exhausted as I was with the last movie, I felt like I wanted to tell the story."

Spectre is now filming and is expected to come out on Nov. 6, 2015.
