Marquel Martin's Kickstarter campaign for Social Cookie was meant to help raise enough funds to allow it to open up shop in Las Vegas.

The Kickstarter campaign ended yesterday (Dec. 11), but the funding crumbled. The campaign only managed to earn $7,771 dollars in pledges by 147 backers.

Martin did post a few hopeful messages though regardless of this minor setback.

On Wednesday, he shared via Instagram that he's "just thankful" to have all the support he has. He said, "I pray I can encourage you, like you encourage me."

Yesterday, Martin posted a video via Instagram after the campaign came to a close to share his gratitude regardless of the outcome.

First and foremost, "SOCIAL COOKIE STILL LIVES" he said in the caption of the video. He mentioned how thankful he is for all the support he has received for Social Cookie.

He added, "with all the support, exposure, and great PR, next steps for #socialcookie is to look for investors or a loan, and to simply keep going".

He said in the video regardless of not meeting the fundraising goal, "there's too much positive in Social Cookie for me to be negative."

He also stated that he still has "faith" intact.
