It looks like Nick Jonas might take his acting abilities to a more mature level with his role as Nate on the TV series Kingdom.

After it was discovered that Nate was gay, there's a possibility that there might be some graphic male on male scenes sometime on the show. When Jonas was asked about this, he didn't seem too hesitant about having a sexual moment with another man on the series.

"I have trust in Byron [Balasco, the creator of Kingdom] and the writing team to tell these stories in a really honest and grounded way and it's my responsibility as an actor to be that person and tell these stories the best I can," Jonas told Buzzfeed posted on Wednesday. "So, absolutely I will do all I need to do."

The singer and actor also pointed out that when it comes to playing a character like this, he needs to bring out every piece of courage he has.

"The biggest thing I've learned through this is that you can't have any fear when you're acting. Any ounce of fear will show," he said. "You just have to become that person and live that life. I love that process and pushing myself in that way. I found that really rewarding in the end...I'm absolutely willing to go anywhere the story needs to go."

Kingdom airs on DirecTV.
