Fashion & Style reported on Thursday that a new clip for the next episode of State of Affairs has been released and it shows some major potential drama for Charlie and Nick as President Payton finds out about their alliance.

In the clip, Charlie asks Syd where Nick is, but he insists that she should "let Nick stay gone." When Charlie asks if he's dead, Syd doesn't have a direct answer, but states that Nick "deserves whatever he has coming to him."

Syd also reminds Charlie in the clip that Nick has been in the building and on the seventh floor, so he shouldn't be ruled out as a suspect. Syd seems convinced that Nick is the person sending those texts. Charlie is adament about finding Nick.

In the previous episode, Nick was kidnapped from Charlie's car by some anonymous guys, possibly from the Krieg group, but it's not known for sure. He is shown chained up and bloody.

Nick's abduction happened just as Charlie and Nick shared a romantic moment.

In the trailer for episode 5, President Payton is shown demanding answers about who Nick is and why bullets from his gun were found in her deceased son's body.

Reportedly, the president will also learn of Charlie's relationship with Nick and the fact that he gave Charlie a gun.

The full synopsis states that viewers will learn more about what happened the night of Aaron's death. Charlie will flashback to that night again, and a secret which Charlie's been withholding will come out.

Kurt will also finally get the courage to reveal his true feelings to Maureen, and D.P. will be forced to reach out to an old friend in order to prevent any further leaks of the convoy attack report to the public.

The next episode of State of Affairs airs Monday, Dec. 15, at 10pm on NBC.
