"Love doesn't always come in the package one expects," she says while holding a newborn baby. "And this little one was born reaching out for your hand."

In a recent story from Express Miranda Hart (Chummy) mentioned what the holiday episode will be like that will definitely be one to look forward to.

"The Christmas special is as delightfully Christmassy as ever," she said. "Chummy puts a show together with little girls playing snowflakes- it's very sweet."

The nurse will be looking after a home for pregnant, unmarried women with Patsy where she'll notice the difficulties that take place.

"Very young, unmarried girls ended up there because they were pregnant," Hart said. "They care for their babies over six weeks, which is enough time to have a real bond with a child, then they have to hand them over."

The Call the Midwife Christmas special will air on Christmas Day at 8 p.m. ET on PBS.
