It looks like the fans of Reign are going to have to say goodbye to someone who might be pretty important to them.

On Tuesday, E! News updated its spoiler chat when someone requested to know what's about to take place in the royal drama's future. There will need to be some major preparation for what's to come since someone won't be sticking around for much longer.
"I would say there's a death of a very large character," showrunner Laurie McCarthy shared.
Chatter On Bash's Discovery About Francis On 'Reign'
Unfortunately, nothing else was revealed after this, leaving plenty of insight on which big character will be the one to kick the bucket.
A moment like this could potentially change the show's rating numbers since it looks like it's not in the greatest spot right now. According to TV By The Numbers, the series is at a tossup between a renewal and a cancellation. It looks like it's the lowest rated right beneath Jane the Virgin and The 100.
The Originals is in a pretty decent spot for a renewal while four other shows are more than likely to come back for another year (The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Arrow and The Flash).
There are still a few shows that have yet to return to The CW, including Hart of Dixie and Beauty and the Beast. Depending on how these do, this could change the status of Reign's chances of staying on the air or not.
Reign airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
