E! News reported on Tuesday that a source said a text message is enough to put a damper on Gomez's day.

"Selena's relationship is up and down," the source said. They reported that even getting a text message from Bieber can put a damper on Gomez's day.

Gomez confirmed earlier this month that she was single and that she still has "so much respect and love" for her ex-boyfriend, but a source told E! News that she is "trying to put him behind her."

"It's hard because they have so much history. It is a process," the source said.

In addition to her family and best friend Taylor Swift's support, the source said that Gomez is "very active in her church" and is making an effort to be surrounded by positive people.

Gomez herself spoke out on how she was feeling toward Bieber: "I support him. I think I always will. I'm upset when he's upset, I'm happy when he's happy. I don't want anything bad to every happen to him. It hurts me."
