"The Big Bang Theory" actress Mayim Bialik went back to work Friday following a car accident in Los Angeles.

Bialik explained in a blog that she had a "terrible accident" but that she will continue on "The Big Bang Theory."

"I will be okay," the comedian said explaining that her husband was helping him to type.

She will have all her fingers but a very impaired right hand.

"It was very bloody and scary but I am ok. A man named Tim and another man whose name I don't know saved me from losing a lot of blood and helped me talk to my husband at the scene. I am grateful to them," she wrote today.

Bialik will have a long recovery but she will keep updating her blogs with the help of her assistant, according to the blog post.

At work, Bialik had lots of support.

"How much do I get love and support from the big band cast and crew? I went to work today :-) doing ok. Grateful. And tired," she wrote on Friday.

The actress said the show's staff was very good to her.

According to TMZ she was driving alone in a white Volvo when it was struck by another vehicle.

According to a source quoted by TMZ her finger was "almost completely severed."
