Justin Bieber just wrapped up recording a voice-over for an upcoming episode of the FOX series "The Simpsons," the singer announced himself on Twitter.

"Just did a voice over for The Simpsons! #swaggy," he posted.

Though he later deleted the comment, nevertheless, the show's executive producer, Al Jean, confirmed that the "Boyfriend" singer, and real-life boyfriend of Selena Gomez, will indeed appear as a character on the show, according to GossipCop.com.

Jean told "Entertainment Weekly" that the singer will play a "cartoon version of himself" that tries to get into a talent show that Bart Simpson is performing in, but they would not admit him in. The episode will be called "The Fabulous Faker Boy" and will air sometime early 2013.

"It's a cameo but all of his fans should watch every minute of the show, before and after he's on," Jean said, hinting at a possible surprise or twist on the episode.

The animated show's 24th season premieres on Sept. 30.

It was also reported that the new season will feature as guest start Edward Norton, Natalie Portman and "The Dark Knight Rises" star Anne Hathaway, who will also guest star in the new season of "Glee."
