Miley Cyrus sent the Twitterverse into overdrive when she premiered her short, peroxide blonde hairstyle earlier this month, and now "Mad Men" star Elisabeth Moss is rocking a similar look.

Moss, who plays Peggy Olson on the AMC hit, stepped out in New York City on Tuesday for the premiere of "For a Good Time, Call..." with a dramatic makeover. The normally understated brunette debuted an electric blonde bob, paired with bold red lipstick, that made her nearly unrecognizable.

Wearing a form-fitting black dress and nude pumps, Moss was a lot sexier than we're used to seeing her on the red carpet.

"I wanted to do something really different," the actress told Us Weekly.

Even though the new look is a radical change for Moss, she said fans are still able to spot her on the street.

"People still recognize me because I always looked so different from Peggy before," she said.

Perhaps Moss will still be rocking the blonde locks Sept. 23 when she attends the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards. Moss is nominated for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for her work as Peggy on "Mad Men," and the historical series is also up for best drama - an award it has won for the last four years in a row.
