She might have walked down the aisle a few times in the past, but it looks like Jennifer Lopez's divorce to Marc Anthony was the most painful one yet. The singer and actress, who shares two children with the Latin crooner, recently opened up about her devastation over the separation in her HBO documentary.

According to the Latin Times on Monday, Lopez confessed that she though she was "going to die" over the hurt and agony she felt after realizing there was no way of saving her almost seven-year marriage.

She said, "I remember being on set, in my dressing room and not being able to get up in the morning. There's simply no pain that compares to the hurt and failure of a divorce."

Lopez and Anthony got married in 2004 after her highly-publicized relationship with ex-boyfriend Ben Affleck. The couple announced their separation in 2011 and finalized their divorce in June 2014. The couple also welcomed their twin children, Max and Emme, back in 2008.

Lopez explained, "The hope, the dreams, the fairytale... everything falls to pieces and you feel like you're going to die. You feel like you failed and no matter how hard you tried, it just doesn't work."

The single celebrity mother also added that her pain was mostly caused over the fact that the divorce was destroying her family. She said, "That wasn't my dream. My dream was that we remained a family forever...you never want to destroy one."

Before marrying Anthony, Lopez was also briefly married to back-up dancer Cris Judd in 2011 and ex-husband Ojani Noa back in 1997.
