Her attempt to move on from her past relationship failed miserably at first, but Nicole (Arianne Zucker) won't be stopped in her next attempt to truly win Daniel (Shawn Christian) over on Days of Our Lives.

Serena Confronts Nicole

The two friends had been noticing the growing chemistry between them, and had planned on ringing in the New Year together on their first official date at the Governor's Ball. However, Daniel soon caught wind that Nicole had snooped in Serena's (Melissa Archer) hotel room after learning she was Eric's (Greg Vaughan) ex before he became a priest-and determined that Nicole still wasn't over her broken engagement with Eric. As a result, he elected to work a shit at the hospital instead and canceled their date.

Nicole, devastated by the fact that she wasn't given a chance with Daniel, then vowed to prove she was over Eric once and for all-only to run into Serena herself and receive a major lashing about invading the other woman's privacy.

Daniel Receives An Unexpected Invitation For The Holidays

Now, Nicole will pull out all the stops she can possibly think of to try and win Daniel over once more-and potentially seduce him-in an effort to not only prove she is over Eric, but to try and move on with someone else who she genuinely does care about.

Meanwhile, Adrienne (Judi Evans) and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) will begin growing closer after she confides in him that she believes her marriage to Justin (Wally Kurth) is falling apart-because she is convinced her husband is having an affair, which is the real reason he is staying away from Salem. Lucas will then try to comfort Adrienne-potentially leading the two to start recognizing a budding attraction they share.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
