Alicia Guastaferro 'Wife Swap' Incarcerated For Prostitution, Details
"Wife Swap" standout Alicia Guastaferro was incarcerated for prostitution sometime after midnight on Aug. 27th. The 20-year-old, who had appeared on the popular ABC reality show back in 2008, was found in a vehicle with 54-year-old lawyer James D. Doyle, who was arrested himself for DWI, providing alcohol to a minor and patronizing a prostitute.
According to TMZ, the pair was stopped near Buffalo, New York, when a concerned driver had reported a swerving eastbound vehicle on the New York State Thruway and followed until it pulled into the Pembroke Service Area. Soon after, the police had responded and found the car parked and still running in the same area with Doyle and Guastaferro asleep.
The former reality star had reportedly told the cops that she had known the lawyer for 2 years. Guastaferro also allegedly stated that Doyle usually forks over between $500 and $700 for her sexual services.
She had previously sued the ABC network in March 2010. Guastaferro had claimed that "Wife Swap" had caused her public embarrassment by depicting her as a "spoiled brat," according to the gossip site.
She also stated that the ordeal led her to have panic attacks and thoughts of suicide. The case was eventually settled outside of the court room.
However, the family of the troubled beauty are no strangers to bad publicity themselves, as her parents Ralph and Karen Guastaferro had been charged with laundering 1.2 million dollars worth of money in a Canadian telemarketing scheme back in 2009.
