Lauren Conrad, reality star turned author and fashion designer, broke up with boyfriend Kyle Howard more than a year ago, but she hasn't dished a thing ... until now.

Conrad, 26, and "My Boys" actor Howard, 32, split in June 2011. The couple never gushed about their relationship when they were involved or when it ended.

In an Aug. 29 blog post, Conrad discussed her breakup while giving advice to one of her single fans.

"One thing to keep in mind while you are attending weddings, showers and other events celebrating your friends' relationships is that these aren't things you are missing out on. They are things you have to look forward to," she wrote. "I was in a similar place last year. Twenty-five, newly single and helping one of my best friends plan her wedding, so I know how it can feel."

She continued, "It can be hard to feel like you have to start from scratch when you have invested so much time with a person, but shortly after my break up I realized something: I wasn't losing the chance to have love -- I was getting the opportunity to do it all over again."

But Conrad wasn't single for long. After being set up by some friends on Valentine's Day, Conrad began dating University of Southern California law student William Tell, 32. The relationship started heating up in July when the new couple spent five days in a $1,500-a-night suite at the Esperanza resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, according to Us Weekly.

"She thinks he's The One," a friend of Conrad's told Us Weekly.

However, Conrad has had her fair share of exes including Brody Jenner, Jason Wahler and Stephen Colletti.

"Another thing to keep in mind is that your best friends' husbands have single friends and that can be a great way to meet guys. Let your friends know that you are looking to be set up," Conrad suggested in her blog post. "There is no shame."
