Justified aired its episode Noblesse Oblige Tuesday night and Graham Yost shed some light on the Crowders in relation to this episode to Yahoo! TV.

Carter's Ava and Goggins' Boyd were drunk in the episode and Yost revealed that Timothy Olyphant, who plays Raylan Givens suggested that entire scene.

"I think in the original formulation, we were going to have Ava and Boyd start to make out at the end of [Episode] 2, when she says 'Pizza Portal,' and so we backed off from that and decided to put that at the end of Episode [3], where it would have more impact. So we just liked the idea of them drinking all night," Yost explained.

"They had a lot of fun doing it, I'll tell you that," he added about Carter and Goggins pretending to be drunk.

Yost also admitted that it was only a matter of time before Boyd and Ava got "back in the sack together."

"We knew we wanted them to get back in the sack together at some point, and we thought, 'Well, when is the best time?' We thought at this juncture, with her getting this new sense of peril - and this was the best way to disarm him," Yost shared, adding, "But then there's the other side, which is you can't be sure what she's playing: Does she just genuinely feel passion for Boyd? So that's been the real fun of writing Ava this season."

Justified is airing now on FX at 10 p.m. ET on Tuesdays.
