He wanted to see the man he loves again after he helped to save his life, but Paul's (Christopher Sean) attempt to reconnect with Sonny will hit an unexpected obstacle on Days of Our Lives.

Sonny's Loved Ones Devastated Following Brutal Attack

Sonny (Freddie Smith) was tragically stabbed while in the Salem park and left to die, but was thankfully discovered in enough time to get to the hospital and have his life saved during surgery. Now in recovery, he is being visited by his husband, Will (Guy Wilson), with his ex-boyfriend (who donated the necessary blood which saved him) hovering outside the door and ready to go in-but his mother, Adrienne (Judi Evans) will spot him and keep him from entering.

Adrienne will confront Paul about his real reasons for being in Salem, and may even give the all-star pitcher an ultimatum that he is to leave Sonny alone-potentially mentioning his husband's name in the process.

Paul Makes A Huge Confession To Sonny

If Paul learns that Will -who wrote the article outing him after the two hooked up-is actually Sonny's husband, it could shock him and cause him to realize how much he has now risked hurting Sonny. As a result, he may begin considering leaving town instead.

However, at least during this encounter, Adrienne will be the one in for a major shock, as she will learn that Paul was the one who was a match for Sonny's blood type, and donated the large amount that was needed to ensure he survived the stabbing.  After she learns what he did for her son, she could begin rethinking her ultimatum that he leave Sonny alone.
