Annie Wersching, one of the more noteworthy guest stars on ABC's Castle, recently discussed her return to the show in Monday night's episode.

'Castle's Rick Set To 'Match Wits' With 3XK & Dr. Kelly Nieman In 'Reckoning' Episode?

Wersching plays Dr. Kelly Nieman on Castle, a cohort of 3XK, a.k.a. Jerry Tyson (Michael Mosley). Dr. Nieman returns in the upcoming two-part episode that features Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) investigating a murder with ties to both her and 3XK.

The actress recently spoke with TVLine about her upcoming guest spot.

"There is this strange coincidence that Beckett and the gang stumble upon someone else that has Dr. Nieman as their surgeon - but of course in the world of Dr. Nieman and 3XK, nothing is a coincidence," Wersching explained. "No, with them every single thing is planned out, and they have some specific, painstaking plans for Beckett and Castle in particular."

As seen in the previously released sneak peek, a man who looks exactly like Jerry Tyson is taken into custody, revealing that he had plastic surgery done by Dr. Nieman. Asked if Dr. Nieman had cut the man up and reformed his face to look like Jerry Tyson for the purpose of manipulating their enemies, she hinted that this was the case.

"There is definitely an element of that going on," Wersching admitted, "where Castle thinks one thing and he's trying to get everyone else to believe him." She said that the first episode in the two-episode arc has a cliffhanger that is "awesome."

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
