Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) are slated to put on spacesuits on an upcoming episode of ABC's Castle while investigating a murder that may be out of this world.

ABC has released a plot synopsis for episode 7.16 of Castle, which is titled The Wrong Stuff. This will apparently be a space-themed episode with Castle and Beckett like you've never seen them.

"When an astronaut training for a trip to Mars is mysteriously killed inside a Mars simulation, Castle and Beckett don spacesuits to investigate," the synopsis reads. "But when they discover no one inside the sealed simulation could have committed the murder and no one from the outside could get in, the case takes a shocking turn."

Guest stars for the episode include Yves Bright as Tom Richwood, Gwendoline Yeo as Elise Kim, David Rogers as Viggo Jansen, Sterling K. Brown as Ed Redley and Maxwell Caulfield as Sir Ian Rasher.

This episode is slated to air on Monday, Feb. 23 in the regular 10 p.m. timeslot.

In the mean time, Castle is currently embroiled in an epic two-part arc involving Jerry Tyson (Michael Mosley) and Dr. Kelly Nieman (Annie Wersching). Monday night's episode featured a stunning cliffhanger in which Beckett was suddenly injected with something as Dr. Nieman received a call that it was "done." It remains to be seen what will become of Beckett in next week's conclusion.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
