Jerry “The King” Lawler of the WWE released a heart-felt video on Friday from inside his Montreal hospital room. The 62-year-old, who suffered an on air heart attack on WWE’s Monday Night Raw, took the opportunity to thank all of his fans for their support and well wishes.

In the latest footage, Lawler seems to be making a speedy recovery, as the wire-ridden wrestling commentator even jokes about feeling like the Bionic Man. However, the legendary grappler is still being closely monitored in the cardiac unit although he is progressing.

During the Sept. 11 programming of WWE’s Monday Night Raw, The King had gone into convulsions and collapsed at the broadcast booth. After previously teaming up with Randy Orton to wrestle Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk, the legend returned to his post and unexpectedly collapsed.

Soon after, medical personnel transported Lawler into the backstage area via stretcher. HIs broadcast colleague Michael Cole, who was visibly shaken, then addressed the television audience by stating that the circumstance was “serious” but that the 62-year-old was breathing on his own.

While many assumed the occurrence was a predetermined WWE storyline, the incident was actually 100 percent legit and broadcasted on several major news outlets.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) had put out a statement on Sept. 10th following the less than ideal incident.

“Jerry 'The King' Lawler suffered a heart attack while commentating during last night's broadcast of Monday Night Raw in Montreal," the WWE said. "We are hopeful Jerry makes a full recovery and returns to WWE in the near future. Our thoughts are with Jerry and his family."

In a YouTube video, the reality of the situation could actually be witnessed. While superstars Daniel Bryan and Kane faced the Prime Time Players in a tag team contest, the long-time broadcaster had fallen out of his seat.

Viewers can also see just how worried many of the Montreal fans were, as well as wrestler Titus O’Neil - who appeared to be looking back at the situation from the ring apron. At one point during the ordeal, a “Jerry” chant began to dominate the crowd, as the WWE Universe voiced their utmost support.
