The Unviersity of Texas in Austin is evacuating all campus buildings after it received threats from a male that bombs were set up in the school.

"We received a bomb threat this morning from a man claiming to be part of al-Qaida," spokesman Gary Susswein told the Houston Chronicle. "He was saying there was a bomb on campus. Out of an abundance of caution, we're evacuating all buildings, making sure all buildings are secure."

A man with a middle eastern accent called around 8:35 a.m. and claimed he had placed bombs and that they would go off in 90 minutes, UT Director of Communications Rhonda Weldon said.

University authorities urged students and academic staff to "immediately evacuate ALL buildings and get as far away as possible."
