In what looks to be an exciting matchup, the Denver Broncos will go head-to-head with the Atlanta Falcons at 8:30pm ET on Monday.  The Week 2 showdown will feature Broncos superstar QB Peyton Manning battling it out with brainy Falcons QB Matt Ryan.

The Sept. 16 matchup should be a high scoring game between the two offensive powerhouse teams, as Manning and Ryan will likely rack up the points in the touchdown column for their respective teams.

Denver's defense will look to not only limit Ryan's passing game, but also to prevent receivers Julio Jones and Roddy White from doing what they do best; snagging the football.  The Broncos clearly have the talent for optimal coverage of Atlanta's top targets, but their opponents will still make plays if Ryan has too much time in the pocket.

Veteran quarterback Peyton Manning clearly has the ability to run Atlanta's defense ragged.  If Denver's offensive line can plug the holes against the Falcons, than the quarterback will be effective at completing his passes.

Manning indeed has the advantage against the Atlanta defense, as they are coming off a less than stellar performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1.  On at least three drives, KC converted first downs on passes made at 3rd-and-long.  The Falcons must improve their zone coverage in order to have any chance at halting Manning's superb passing game.

CB Champ Bailey and the Broncos defenders will have their work cut out for them against Matt Ryan and Atlanta's offense.   Bailey is coming off a solid Week 1 performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers, as he was able to limit their receivers in man coverage.  The star must be more successful in zone coverage.

Cornerback Stanford Routt must turn it around for the Falcons defenders to be mostly effective.  If he stays proficient in man-to-man coverage, then the team will be on its way to minimize Manning's superb passing game.
