The Shannon family has clearly upgraded their status when it comes to dealing with public affairs.  While on a recent trip to the bargain store Walmart, reality stars Honey Boo Boo and mother June were seen being escorted by a male bodyguard.

After finishing up at the superstore, June and her protection took her clan to Rite Aid.  Donning an orange t-shirt, Honey Boo Boo posed for the cameras in typical fashion.  Despite their swift rise to fame, the reality television family still has no qualms about remaining on a spending budget.

In the latest episode of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," June elaborated to her star daughter about the hefty price of beauty pageants.

"Pageants are a big investment. I need to raise four kids and I'm able to do pageants as I budget.  Honestly, we budget and I try to save money any way I can."

In order to save money for the upcoming kiddie pageants, Honey Boo Boo put together a lemonade sale.  Alongside her sister, the two attempted to sell the home-made concoction, which was composed of five pounds of sugar.

On this week's TLC program, June shared her not so secret recipe with the rest of the world.

"The secret is a lot of sugar and a lot of lemon juice.  The lemonade has got a good five pounds of sugar and like 2 gallons of lemon juice," stated June.

In other "Boo Boo" news, father David Michael "Sugar Bear" Thompson is now on crutches after suffering a "mud buggin" injury.

Since its debut on Aug. 8th, the TLC hit show has gained the attention of millions of viewers.  Its Aug. 9th program alone was watched by nearly 3 million people, which surprisingly beat out both the Republican National Convention and Vice Presidential hopeful Paul Ryan's speech.
