New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski is sending mixed messages regarding whether he wants to compete on ABC's Dancing With the Stars.

Ever since winning the Super Bowl alongside his Patriots, Gronkowski has fielded questions concerning if he will compete on Dancing With the Stars this spring.

"Maybe one day, we'll see," he told TMZ Sports. "I don't know how good my moves will get if someone actually teaches me how to do moves! All my moves are just from doing my own moves."

However, he told The Boston Herald that he couldn't really afford to take time off from offseason training.

"I would love to go on Dancing With the Stars, but it would be unfair because I would win so easily," he quipped. "All kidding aside, I don't think at this time in my career I should be leaving my team during offseason training. I do like to do other things, but not if they interfere with football at this time."

If Gronkowski were to compete in Dancing With the Stars he would conceivably have a good shot of winning the Mirrorball Trophy. Athletes, especially NFL players, are notoriously strong on Dancing With the Stars, with Emmitt Smith, Hines Ward and Donald Driver actually winning their seasons.

While Gronkowski may not compete in 2015 at any point, fans could expect him to dance on the popular show somewhere down the road.

Dancing With the Stars returns for season 20 on Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
