The third episode of season 3 of "The X Factor USA" reminded televison viewers the hit singing competition is a reality show first.

The show offered a few great performances from solo singers and groups, but two contestants stood out most for the episode that aired on Wednesday, Sept.19. While one contestant left the building in an ambulance, another left in a police squad car.

Panda Ross, who auditioned in Austin, Tx., was the highlight of the night not only for her amazing voice but for her touching story. In the beginning of her segment, the 42-year-old revealed she was hospitalized for seven days for pneumonia prior to her audition. Ross impressed the judges with a candid sense of humor when she joked how great it was to meet her "baby daddy" Simon Cowell.

"Hey, Simon. I'm your baby mama. You my boo!" she yelled.

"I've always wanted a panda," Cowell replied.

"I can't deny how good that was," said L.A Reid, referring to Cowell's joke.

Ross blew the judges away with her rendition of Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home." It earned a "yes" from all four judges.

After Ross left the stage and hugged Demi Lovato, the singer displayed trouble breathing. After a family member stated, "maybe you need oxygen," paramedics met Ross backstage, put her on a stretcher and wheeled her to an ambulance outside.

Ross discussed her concern with Cowell learning of her condition when she wore an oxygen mask.

"This is bad. This is not good," she said. "And I got to sing for Simon...Don't let Simon see this. Then he's gonna think I can't do it. When I come back next time, I'll be one hundred."

Thexfactorusa.com reported Ross has made a full recovery since the incident.

The other highlight of the episode ended with an arrest. When Deangelo Wallace sang Chris Brown's "With You" so poorly, all four judges left the table during the middle of his audition. Prior to the performance, Wallace insulted Spears when he called her "Ms. Oops I Did It Again" and Lovato "Ms. Little Disney Princess."

The 19-year-old was so upset that the judges left before he finished, Wallace left the building with the show's $3,000 audio equipment with his cousin in tow. In the video, a production assistant broke the news of the theft into a walkie takie; "He left the building... he's mic'd..." she said.

After she is seen running after Wallace, someone from the production crew stated, "police have been notified." Wallace and his cousin ran out of the building and were later caught by Cowell's staff outside. Wallace was then handcuffed and put in the back of a police car.
