Kathy Griffin has glammed up her image significantly in recent years, but she stripped all that away during a hike in Los Angeles' Runyon Canyon this week.

The 51-year-old comedian got in some exercise with 33-year-old boyfriend Randy Bick, and photographers caught Griffin looking nearly unrecognizable without a speck of make-up.

Griffin wore workout clothes and threw her famous red locks into a messy bun on the top of her head. The look was a far cry from the perfectly coiffed hair and spot-on make-up Griffin usually sports on the red carpet or during her comedy specials.

The comedian has only recently gone completely public about her relationship with Bick after trying to keep things under wraps. The couple has been dating for months after meeting at a food and wine festival - "what can I say, I'm a foodie," Griffin said about the meeting.

Griffin's star has risen immensely since the days of her Bravo reality series "My Life on the D-List," but she still chose someone unaffiliated with the entertainment industry for a relationship.

"He's a really nice normal guy with a nice normal job who doesn't care for the spotlight, and I like it that way and he does too," Griffin said. "For me, the thing which has become of paramount importance is that he's really such a nice person. He has a really mellow temperament, which I need because I'm a spinning-out-of-control freak."

Griffin is gearing up to get working on the second season of her weekly talk show "Kathy," which will return to Bravo in January. The 12-episode first season premiered on the network that made Griffin a star in April of this year.

The show begins with a stand-up comedy set from Griffin and continues with panel discussions of pop-culture news. During the first season, Griffin welcomed high-profile guests including Jane Fonda, Anderson Cooper and Chelsea Handler.
