It is said that with great power comes great responsibility. That is clearly the case with NBC's hit singing competition "The Voice" and the rigorous touring demands of its celebrity judging panel.

According to Digital Spy, executive producer and "Survivor" guru Mark Burnett spoke about the rigorous demands of his judges careers and how it inevitably conflicts with being at the helm of the popular program.

"Having award-winning artists as coaches means they need to be able to tour. Whether in the red chair or on tour, our coaches have their chairs for life," Burnett said. "This is exactly why, after three seasons, we needed to allow them to rotate out so they can get on the road amongst their fans.

Musical artist and co-host Christina Aguilera acknowledged the strong and vigorous commitment it takes to both perform on the road and judge the NBC hit television show.

"Since this year NBC and The Voice have decided to tape back-to-back seasons, requiring a full-year commitment, it is important for me to take season four off, allowing me to support my music that my fans have been waiting for," she said. "By pursuing my first passion of music during the break, I am also able to come back and offer even more to my team on The Voice in the future."

Although many fans will clearly be sad to see some of their favorite judges rotated out of the infamous red chairs, there will be some highly reputable replacements made, such as R&B artist Usher and Colombian sensation Shakira, who will both come on board for season four.

Burnett relayed his enthusiasm regarding his latest additions to "The Voice," saying, "We're incredibly excited to have singular artists like Usher and Shakira joining the fold."

"Forget You" singer Cee-Lo Green takes pride in the success of the the program, but also has no qualms about giving other musicians the same opportunities that he has in the judge's chair.

"It's great to also give a host of other talent the chance to experience what a joy it is to be part of what is truly the best show of them all.  I will return for season five and will be watching season four," he said.

Green even delivered a personal message to both Usher and Shakira regarding their new roles as judges on "The Voice."

"NBC is home and as far as Usher and Shakira are concerned - 'mi casa su casa'."

Season 3 of "The Voice" will continue on Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. ET on the NBC network.
