Gospel singer Tina Campbell of WeTV's Mary Mary has a message for viewers who criticize her for taking back her husband Teddy after a series of affairs.

She shut down speculation that she was a "doormat" in sticking through her marriage despite her husband's struggle with infidelity.

In an interview with Cocoa Fab recently she said, "The truth is I didn't take nothin'. I wasn't a dumb, silly woman who knew my husband was messing around and wanted to love him anyway and act like everything was great. I was totally blind sighted by everything that was going on and I never in a million years would have thought that would actually happen in my relationship."

She went on to say that she didn't make it easy for Teddy to come back into her life and heart. In fact, she confessed that she "put him through hell" before even entertaining the idea. But she added that it wasn't something she enjoyed, but rather did out of hurt and at the time hatred for what he had made her experience.

"Whoever thinks it's stupid, I don't care what they think. I just wanted to be free and I'm free now. I'm happy now. Why would I stay angry, bitter and fearful? I chose to forgive and let it go."

For anyone wondering if she really trusts Teddy, she made it clear.

"I don't believe that it will ever happen again."

Teddy ended up proposing to Tina so they can renew their vows and have a new start on their marriage. See the two overcome their marital woes on Mary Mary Thursdays at 10/9c on WeTV.
