Fans celebrated the women of Longmire for International Women's Day over the weekend.

'Longmire' Returning In 2 Weeks? 

With characters like Victoria (Katee Sackhoff) and Cady (Cassidy Freeman), the popular crime drama has been known for producing rich and complicated female characters. In honor of International Women's Day on Sunday, viewers decided to voice their appreciation for these ladies via social media.

Longmire's incredibly supportive fan base has become somewhat famous over the last year. In 2014 A&E abruptly cancelled the popular crime drama after its third season, which sent viewers rushing to defend the series. They launched social media campaigns and petitions, utilizing the hashtag #LongLiveLongmire to keep the show trending.

All that hard work paid off and on November Netflix stepped in to revive the program. Writers immediately resumed work on the new season, developing storylines and content appropriate for Netflix's commercial and censorship-free format.

Production is scheduled to begin by the end of the month, though a release date has yet to be set.

Longmire will likely return for a fourth season on Netflix during the later half of 2015.
