Thomas Ravenel has released a statement about his recent split from Kathryn Dennis.

Ahead of the season 2 premiere of Southern Charm, Ravenel and Dennis, the mother of his young daughter, Kensington, have parted ways.

"Kathryn and I have been on and off for quite a while, but now we are off," Ravenel revealed to Daily Mail Online on Tuesday. "I still love her to bits, but we are no longer together. We share a child we both adore and still get along. Our focus is bringing up Kensington."

Ravenel, 51, and Dennis, 22, began dating during the first season of the show, and while their relationship quickly became serious with the birth of their daughter, it doesn't seem to have made it past filming on season 2.

Throughout the trailer, Ravenel and Dennis are seen feuding, and at one point, Ravenel is seen trying to leave Dennis, who is chasing him down a pier, at a party.

"In the end I think the age gap was just too much," Ravenel continued. "29 years is a big gap and in 10 years time I will be in my sixties but Kathryn would just be out of her twenties.That is a big difference to bridge and it was just not possible. Who knows, one day we might get back together."
