Cote de Pablo left CBS' NCIS in 2013, but is returning to the network to star in the mini-series The Dovekeepers.

Cote de Pablo Talks About Life After 'NCIS'

The CBS YouTube channel uploaded a video of the 35-year-old actress on Friday where she discussed her excitement to be a part of this special series.

"I am really excited to be working on this project," de Pablo revealed.

The Dovekeepers mini-series is based off a book of the same name, which de Pablo said she loves.

"I've been a fan of these characters for a long time," she shared, adding, "It's kind of dreamy."

In the video, which can be viewed below, Mark Burnett who is an executive producer of the mini-series, makes an appearance and divulged, "I love that Cote de Pablo has returned to CBS."

Roma Downey, who is another executive producer of the mini-series, also spoke about de Pablo's return to CBS in the video.

"Cote of course for so many years on NCIS and we're very fortunate that our premiere date of March 31st that we will actually air after an original episode of NCIS so her fans should be excited to see her back," she stated.

De Pablo even talked about her days on NCIS and how fans presently ask her if she'll return or they tell her they miss seeing on there.

Back on topic of The Dovekeepers, de Pablo shared her character (Shirah) and the other female characters "are really interesting because they're all incredibly strong."

The actress also revealed why else she was excited to come onboard with this mini-series.

"I've always wanted to do a period piece," de Pablo added, which this mini-series fulfills.

The Dovekeepers premieres on March 31 at 9 p.m. ET and concludes on April 1.

Each night it will run for two hours.
