The Dovekeepers premiere date is fast approaching, but that's not the only excitement over the mini-series-The three female leads are featured in a special collector's edition of CBS Watch! magazine, which is out now.
CBS Watch! magazine has a special collector's edition called Women of the Bible, which has been released in conjunction with the special CBS mini-series. It has 100 pages devoted to the biblical women and their historical devotions as mentioned on the magazine's website.
The Dovekeeper's Facebook page made note Tuesday that Cote de Pablo, Rachel Brosnahan and Kathryn Prescott are featured in this collector's edition of the magazine.
"[A]n in-depth feature introducing the main characters of #TheDovekeepers and the women who bring them to life," the Facebook page stated about the feature in the magazine.
De Pablo portrays Shirah who is depicted as "a sensual and fiercely independent single mother with uncanny insights and a quiet and mysterious power" on the CBS website. Shirah is a dovekeeper and acquires the ridicule of being called "Witch of Moab" since she secretly practices forbidden ancient rites of magic and is profoundly knowledgeable about herbal remedies.
Brosnahan is playing Yael who is said to be "a uniquely beautiful and fearless young woman whose mother died in childbirth, and whose father forever blames her for that loss." Yael is another dovekeeper and stands tall alongside Shirah as they fight for survival.
Prescott portrays Shirah's daughter Aziza is another dovekeeper and masquerades as a boy so she can fight alongside the male warriors of Masada.
Women of the Bible is on newsstands and can be purchased through Amazon too until June 17.
The Dovekeepers premieres on March 31 at 9 p.m. ET and concludes on April 1.
Each night it will run for two hours.
