"Jersey Shore" star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has been open about his stint in rehab for prescription pills and alcohol abuse, but has he fallen off the sober bandwagon?

Sorrentino, 30, checked into rehab, but according to an Us Weekly source he "isn't sober anymore."

A witness saw the reality star "downing so many cocktails, he could barely stand," at West Hollywood's London hotel on Sept. 26. Sorrentino's rep claims these allegations are false and said, "He has not been drinking."

In an MTV News interview, Sorrentino admitted the journey to sobriety was not easy.

"Ever since I've been out, I'm not gonna lie ... it's not easy," Sorrentino said. "But at the same time, where I'm at right now, I'm at a good place. But it took a little bit to get there. In the beginning? A lot of rainy days, so to speak. A lot of rainy days."

He added, "In the beginning, for sure, when I was [at the facility] in Utah, I'd wake up and just be extremely disappointed with myself. Like, 'I can't believe I got here. How did I get here?' "

In a May interview, he admitted he was still trying to beat his addiction and said it was still a struggle.

"I'm not gonna lie, it feels like you're not gonna recover. It feels like an impossible deed ... [but] day-by-day it gets better."

The "Jersey Shore" cast finished filming their final season of the show, which caused Sorrentino much stress.

"Mike's freaking out about what he's going to do after the show," the Us Weekly source said.

In solidarity of a pregnant Snooki and a sober Sorrentino, the "Jersey Shore" gang did not drink the first night they returned to Seaside Heights, according to The Daily Mail

The final season of "Jersey Shore" premieres with a double episode on Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. EST. According to the New York Daily News, the first episode shows a pouty and whiny pregnant Snooki and during the episode, she is upset she can't get drunk with her other cast members.

Sorrentino does go out to the bar, but only drinks water the whole night.
