Perhaps going for authenticity, True Detective hired real-life porn stars for an orgy sequence which was filmed earlier this week.

Why HBO Might Be Lying About The Storyline For Season 2 Of 'True Detective'

According to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, Amia Miley and Peta Jensen were both hired for a large-scale orgy scene.

The 24-year-olds filmed the scene this past week at a mansion in Pasadena, Calif. It looks like Colin Farrell (Detective Ray Velcoro) and Rachel McAdams (Detective Ani Bezzerides) were also featured in the sequence, likely following up on a lead in the crime they are investigating. The scene could have some ties to the occult and the fact that it takes place at a mansion suggests some wealthy players are involved.

Find Out Why 'True Detective' Might Be Part Of Vince Vaughn's Exit From Comedy

While Miley and Jensen back have backgrounds in adult entertainment, their resumes were supposedly irrelevant when it came to casting. Apparently the pair had signed up to be extras on the show and were chosen for this particular scene because they had noted in their applications that they would be comfortable with nudity.

At this time, Miley and Jensen are the only people from the adult entertainment industry who's involvement with the show has been confirmed.

The program's official cast includes Farrell, McAdams, Vince Vaughn (career criminal Frank Semyon), and Taylor Kitsch (Officer Paul Woodrugh). Creator Nic Pizzolatto has written all of the episodes, with Fast and Furious alum Justin Lin directing the premiere.

True Detective will return on HBO for a second season mid-2015.
