No one has even signed their name on the dotted line yet, but it looks like fans can't help but speculate about who is going to be working on the sequel to the box office hit 50 Shades of Grey. Now that director Sam Taylor-Johnson has bowed out from the franchise, there is a new rumor suggesting that Angelina Jolie might take her place in the director's seat.

'Fifty Shades of Grey' News: Heartthrob Jamie Dornan To Receive $12 Million For Role In 'Fifty Shades' Sequels

According to Britain's Daily Star this past week, there's a good chance that Jolie, who was last behind the camera in Unforgiven might take the helm for the next film, which will most likely star Irish hunk Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.

The site says that British bookies have already got Jolie at 25/1 to take over as director, which will no doubt please a lot of fans.

Production For 'Fifty Shades Darker' Should Begin Soon

In a new interview in the Guardian (via USA Today) this past week, Dornan said that he too had some doubts about starring in the movie at first, even though it's made him a household name.

He said, "There are times when I'll be like: 'Huh, someone made a Fifty Shades movie, that's funny.' And then I'll be like: 'Wait, I'm the guy?!'"

The actor, who is married to British songstress Amelia Warner, also admitted that he's "in" on the joke about the film about how making a movie from the raunchy novel is quite hilarious to him.

He said, "You know, I'm not naive as to why people would think it was a bad (career) choice, or why there is a snobbery about it. But I'm also not stupid, and I knew with (director) Sam (Taylor-Johnson) and (cinematographer) Seamus McGarvey the film would be in safe hands. And, you know, it does no harm to be in a film that makes half a billion dollars."
