Celebrity couple Paul Wesley and Phoebe Tonkin may be at a committed stage in their relationship based on released photos of The Originals star who was spotted wearing a fancy ring on her finger.

On Wednesday, Daily Mail posted photos of Tonkin as she attended the Chanel Metiers d'Art show in New York. She sported a white dress with fancy shoes and some jewelry around her wrists.

As elegant as Tonkin looked during the event, one thing that catches the eye is the ring she wears on her left hand on the engagement finger. It was a circular piece of jewelry that looks somewhat like a promise ring.

While this doesn't necessarily guarantee anything, the ring could show that Tonkin and her Vampire Diaries boyfriend may have taken their relationship to the level of promising to be together forever. Perhaps, wedding bells might be heard in the future, but only time will tell how that might go.

In an interview with Elle, Tonkin gushed over her man saying that things are going splendidly for her.

"He's my best friend," the actress said about Wesley. "It's such a fun time in my life right now; it's nice to have someone to share that with."

Tonkin also talked about how living in Los Angeles and working on a television show is not that different from a standard office job.

"TV is a lot like having an office job: same crew, same people every day- it's like a family," she said. "I didn't move here to be on a job for three months and then sit around reading scripts and drinking coffee in LA the rest of the time. The quality of TV is so great now, and you get to do what you love every day."
