Meanwhile, Dornan has been criticized for stalking a woman to prepare for his role in the BBC serial drama, The Fall.

Production For 'Fifty Shades Darker' Should Begin Soon

According to the Irish Independent on Tuesday, Dornan says that while he's not proud of what he did, the experience did teach him a lot about his on-screen character, Paul Spector. The highly-rated show, which is available to view on Netflix, revolves around Dornan's character and the murders of three young women in Belfast.

He said, "I like, followed a woman off the train one day to see what it felt like to pursue someone like that. It felt kind of exciting in a really dirty way and I'm not proud of myself but I do think I learned something from it."

Writer Mollie Goodfellow of the Independent (via the Belfast Telegraph) criticized the actor for following a woman around for the day, calling out the seriousness of many women attracting unwanted companions on the street.

Goodfellow wrote, "Being followed is not a pleasant experience, and why any man would admit to doing it, let alone enjoying it is beyond me. There's something quite sadistic in admitting a thrill to doing something so predatory."
