After nine months of dating, the engaged "Bachelor" stars Courtney Robertson and Ben Flajnik called it quits.

Although the split is "sad," Robertson told WetPaint Entertainment that she is doing "OK."

Most importantly, she wanted to clear up any and all ugly rumors that were surfacing about their breakup. Many tabloids accused Flajnik of cheating and caught him getting handsy with other girls.

"More than anything, I want people to know there wasn't some huge fight or one specific thing that led to it," Robertson told WetPaint Entertainment. "There's really no story to tell other than the fact that it just wasn't working out."

So what exactly happened?

"We both realized it in the last three weeks," she added. "Things had gotten strained. Of course it's sad, but we both know it's for the best."

The duo released a joint statement to the press on Oct. 5, reported E! Online.

"After meeting over a year ago, we have decided to end our romantic relationship. The ups and downs weighed heavily on us both, and ultimately we started to grow apart because of the distance, time apart, and our need to focus on our respective careers."

Both Robertson and Flajnik have received lots of support from fans.

"I want people to know I'm OK," Robertson said to WetPaint Entertainment. "I've been really surprised by all the support and the nice things people have said. It means a lot to me."

Flajnik thanked everyone for their kind words on Twitter.

"A big thanks to you all for your support during this time in my life. It has been a crazy journey over the past couple years and I am blessed to have amazing friends/fam."

But Robertson said she still values the time they shared together.

"I have no regrets. Ben will always have a special place in my heart."
