On Oct. 8, former governor of Alaska and 2008 vice president nominee, Sarah Palin, was spotted in LA looking more svelte than usual. In fact, many media outlets, including the New York Daily News, reported that Sarah appeared "more bony than buxom."

But Sarah told People magazine she is doing just fine and said everyone could benefit from her and her family's exercise and nutrition tips. In fact, the Palins are writing a "unique and motivating book" all about how to lead a healthy lifestyle.

"Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!" she wrote in an email to People magazine

The Palins enjoy vigorous outdoor activity, including boating, hiking, snowmobiling, fishing and hunting.

Sarah has also been known to be an advocate of low-carb eating. According to the New York Daily News, one of her favorite low-carb dishes is moose stew, an Alaskan delicacy.

Although Palin discussed her book with People magazine, she neglected to mention if she had a contract in the works or if she had solidified a publishing date.

"We promise you what we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy."
