Jennifer Lawrence is the new face of the Miss Dior spring/summer 2013 bag campaign, following in the footsteps of Marion Cotillard and most recently Mila Kunis.

The ads will begin running in magazines starting March, People reported. They also noted that perhaps as a nod to her newest modeling campaign, "The Hunger Games" actress has been seen choosing the designer for a number of red carpet appearances.

"It's such a dream to represent an iconic brand that is synonymous with high fashion," the actress said in a statement. "I'm so excited to be working with the fashion house and wear the new creations by Raf Simons."

Simons was named the creative director of Dior in April.

In September, around the same time she debuted her sleek dark brown hair, Lawrence wore a tie-dye gown from Simon's debut collection on the red carpet, the publication reported. She also wore a navy short dress by the same designer at the Toronto Film Festival in August.

The 22-year-old has had regular magazine shoots and photo spreads but this will be her first official modeling campaign as the face of a famed label.

Lawrence has been on the big screen for a few years now, starring in "Winter's Bone" in 2010, "X-Men: First Class" a year later, and playing Katniss Everdeen in the 2012 film adaptation of the hit series "The Hunger Games."

In the November issue of British vogue, the actress talked about the downside of fame, such as the lack of privacy stars have.

"You watch these little freedoms being eroded away, like being [able] to pump gas in peace or whatever, but it's here, and it comes and goes and leaves," she said.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is currently being filmed and production is expected to be finished in December 2012.
