Tori Spelling appears on the upcoming issue of Us Weekly with her newborn child Finn. While the new mother is all smiles while cradling her fourth child in the photo, who is asleep, the headline is more attention-grabbing: "We Almost Didn't Make It."

Spelling opened up to the celebrity weekly and shared that her pregnancy with baby Finn almost killed her.

The 39-year-old learned she was diagnosed with placenta previa, where internal bleeding is caused due to the cervix being covered by the placenta. She learned of the condition twenty weeks into her pregnancy. The condition is considered so high-risk it could cause enough bleeding to terminate the pregnancy.

The reality star discussed a terrifying moment when she woke up at 6 a.m. one day and discovered blood was streaming down her legs. She immediately asked her daughter Stella to "go get daddy."

The episode led to a 10-week hospital stay for the "Craft Wars" star, followed by four months of bed rest at home. The extended stay was grueling for her, it prevented her from attending Liam's pre-school graduation and spending the day with Hattie on her fourth birthday.

Spelling referred to the three children - Liam, 5, Stella, 4, and Hattie, 12 months -  that she shares with her husband, actor Dean McDermott. The couple wed six years ago.

Trouble returned during the delivery, according to the report. The former "90210" star went through nine massive bleeds, which is considered a close call, but successfully deliverd Finn.

"When they put him in my arms I was like, 'We made it.''" she told the magazine. "We have an insane bond. We've been through hell and back. I just remember thinking 'I can't leave three children behind.' "

Spelling was eventually forced to consider "the worst case scenario" by doctors. And when she did, she said she kept thinking, "At what age do kids remember? Like, Liam will remember me, but will Stella? And I knew Hattie wouldn't. I was like, 'Am I supposed to make videos for them?' "

Spelling's condition was caused in part by conceiving Finn only one month after giving birth to daughter Hattie and undergoing three previous cesareans.

Three weeks after she delivered her fourth child, the star underwent emergency surgery after her C-section scars from delivering Finn burst open.TMZ reported the emergency scare on Sept. 18.

However, Spelling has recovered so well from the ordeal that she can proudly share pictures of her and he husband with their children. Us Weekly photographed the family of six in their home and the shots will be featured in an eight-page editorial spread.

The new issue of Us Weekly with Spelling on the cover will arrive on newsstands on Friday, Oct.12.
